Understanding the Prognosis of Adult Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis (ABPA)
ABPA typically follows a chronic, relapsing course with alternating periods of exacerbations and remissions. The prognosis for patients with ABPA is generally favorable. The majority of patients respond well to treatment with systemic corticosteroids and may achieve long-term remission. However, some patients may experience recurrent exacerbations or develop chronic lung damage, leading to a decline in lung function over time. In rare cases, ABPA may progress to end-stage lung disease and respiratory failure, requiring lung transplantation.Liver Cancer - Related Articles
