The full form of H.M.S Beagle is His/Her Majesty's Ship Beagle. It was a Royal Navy ship that was used for surveying, exploration, and research. The Beagle is most famous for its second voyage, from 1831 to 1836, which was commanded by Captain Robert FitzRoy. During this voyage, Charles Darwin served as the ship's naturalist and developed his theory of evolution by natural selection.
