Can you wear a jock strap during colonoscopy?

A jock strap should not be worn during a colonoscopy. During the colonoscopy, the doctor needs to be able to effectively see the inside of the colon. Wearing a jock strap could obstruct the view and make it difficult for the doctor to perform the procedure.
