Breast Development at 11: What to Expect & Normal Growth
Breast development typically begins around age 10 or 11 years, but it can start as early as 8 or as late as 13. The first sign of breast development is usually a small lump or swelling under the nipple. This is followed by the growth of the breast tissue and the enlargement of the nipple.
The size and shape of breasts vary greatly from person to person, even among girls of the same age. Some girls may start to develop breasts at a younger age than others, and their breasts may grow at different rates. This is all perfectly normal.
By the age of 11, some girls may have just started to develop breasts, while others may have breasts that are already well-developed. There is no "right" or "wrong" size for 11-year-old breasts.
If you are concerned about the size of your breasts, you can talk to your doctor or a trusted adult.
