Communicable Diseases: Chickenpox, Pinkeye, Strep & Cancer - What's the Difference?

Cancer is not a communicable disease. Communicable diseases are illnesses that can be passed from one person to another through direct contact, indirect contact, or through the air. Chickenpox, pinkeye, and strep are all communicable diseases.
