Enchondroma: Understanding Bone Tumors and Treatment
No, an Enchondroma tumor is a benign (non-cancerous) tumor that occurs within a bone and does not spread to other bones. Enchondromas are slow-growing tumors that are usually found in the small bones of the hands and feet, although they can also occur in the long bones of the arms and legs. Enchondromas are usually asymptomatic and are often found incidentally on X-rays or CT scans taken for other reasons. Treatment is typically not necessary unless the tumor is causing symptoms or is at risk of fracturing the bone.Bone Cancer - Related Articles
