Colon Cancer and Bladder Spread: Understanding the Link
Colon cancer can rarely spread to the bladder. This occurs when the cancer cells from the colon or rectum travel to the bladder through the lymph nodes or bloodstream. As the cancer cells implant and grow in the bladder, they form secondary tumors known as metastatic lesions. Bladder metastases from colon cancer can cause various symptoms, including urinary urgency, pain during urination, changes in bladder function, and blood in the urine. These metastatic lesions require specialized medical interventions to control the progression and manage symptoms effectively.Bladder Cancer - Related Articles
