Safe & Effective Spider Removal: A Guide
There are approximately 38,000 species of spiders in the world, according to the Encyclopedia Britannica, although relatively little is known about many species outside of Europe, North America and Japan. Arachnophobia, or fear of spiders, is a common phobia, and there are a variety of products, including traps and sprays, aimed at arachnid extermination. Some people prefer to use their own 2 hands when killing spiders, though this method is not recommended for the faint of heart.Things You'll Need
- Small, clear plastic container
- Paper, larger than the plastic container
Instructions
Locate the spider. Place the small plastic container over top of the spider if it appears to be fast-moving.
Slide the piece of paper under the plastic container.
Remove the plastic container and quickly fold the paper in half, trapping the spider in the crease.
Press firmly on the folded paper to exterminate the spider. This will ensure that the spider's remains will not get on your hands.
Dispose of the folded paper containing the spider's remains.
