How to Kill Pests in Luggage
Pests such as bedbugs can often be found in hotel rooms. They bite people at night while they are sleeping, leaving red, itchy marks on the skin's surface. Unfortunately some of them may find their way into your luggage and travel home with you. It is important to control a bedbug problem as quickly as possible to prevent a larger infestation.Things You'll Need
- Plastic bags
- Dryer
Instructions
Open your suitcase while you are outside and remove all items.
Put clothing into airtight plastic bags.
Place clothing in a dryer on medium or high heat for 10 to 20 minutes.
Place the suitcase in a large plastic bag, along with any other items that could not be placed in the dryer.
Place the bag outside on a hot, sunny day. Leave it outside for at least 24 hours.
