Jellyfish Sting Relief: Natural Remedies with Vinegar & Oil
Nothing ruins a day at the beach faster than the pain and disappointment of getting a jellyfish sting when you wade in for a refreshing dip in the ocean. Few beach goers have products or ointments on hand specifically designed for such stings, but if you prepare by packing a few household items with you in your beach bag, you'll be able to help out in case you or someone in your party happens to get stung by a jellyfish.Things You'll Need
- Towel or clean clothing
- Apple cider vinegar
- Paper towel
- Clean water
- Lavender essential oil
Instructions
Remove any tentacles or spikes with a clean towel or piece of clothing. Don't touch the tentacles or spikes with your bare hands.
Douse the area with apple cider vinegar. Saturate a clean paper towel with apple cider vinegar and apply it to the stung area until the burning and pain is relieved.
Rinse off the sting with clean water and apply a balm of pure lavender essential oil to the area every 15 minutes. This will continue to soothe the area.
