How to Rid Your Home & Pet of Fleas Naturally Without Using Poisons
Fleas are only bothersome, but can be dangerous as they feed on the blood of their hosts. Fleas have been known to carry diseases as serious as the plague. Their bites can cause discomfort and pain for humans and their household pets. It is important to rid your house of these pests as soon as possible, and you can do this without using chemicals that may be harmful to you and your pets.Things You'll Need
- 6 lemons
- Spray bottle
- Liquid dish soap
- Kitchen plate
- Borax natural laundry detergent
- Cedar chips
Instructions
Make a Lemon Concentrate Spray
Cut six lemons into quarters. Place the lemon pieces in a pot with one quart of water, and boil for 20 minutes.
Let the mixture sit overnight.
Fill a clean spray bottle with the lemon concentrate and spray liberally on your furniture, carpet, curtains and pets.
Capture Fleas With Dish Soap
Place a layer of liquid dish soap on a white or light colored kitchen plate.
Place the dish under a lamp in the middle of each room. If you have pets, make sure they're not interested in eating the dish soap before leaving it out.
Let the dish sit overnight. The fleas are attracted to the light and to this mixture. Continue doing this until the fleas are gone.
Prevent Fleas From Entering

Let it sit overnight, and then vacuum. Borax can also be sprinkled on your lawn to repel fleas before they get to your home.
Spread cedar chips around the perimeter of your yard. Cedar chips are a flea repellent, and when you spread them around the perimeter of your yard, they are a pleasant smelling, non-toxic method of keeping fleas from other yards out of yours.

Mix 1.5 ounces of Skin So Soft bath oil from Avon in a gallon of water.
Soak your pet in the mixture. You can also apply it to your skin to help keep the fleas off of you while the remedies take affect.
Repeat as necessary until the fleas are gone.
