Do dogs hiccups sound like barking my will not stop it?

Dog hiccups do not sound like barking and they also do not require stopping. Hiccups in dogs are usually caused by swallowing air quickly, eating or drinking too fast, or excitement. They are generally harmless and usually resolve on their own.
