Effect of color in the urine?

Possible causes of discoloration

- Yellow - Dark: Dehydration.

- Pale: Dilute, over hydrated urine .

- Reddish or Pink: Blood in the urine (could also indicate certain food coloring or medication that alters urine color ).

- Brown or Tea: Liver issues( could be caused by food such as fava beans).

- Orange : Food color, some meds( e.g antibiotics), dehydration .

- Green or Blue : Certain veggies e.g asparagus, med or dyes.

- Cloudy : Urinary track infection or excess mineral (e.g calcium in alkaline urine ).
