Cleaning and Maintaining Electrodes for Optimal Performance
Electrodes are used to deliver and detect electrical impulses. Electrical stimulation is used by health care professionals to decrease pain and assist with muscle contractions. Electrical shocks are delivered through electrodes as a life-saving intervention. Electrodes also detect impulses produced by the heart, brain and muscles. Many electrodes are single use only, meaning they are used by one individual then disposed of. Reusable electrodes are made of rubber or plastic. Gel is applied to the electrode surface to conduct electrical impulses. Proper care improves the life span of your reusable electrodes.Things You'll Need
