DIY Bean Bag Neck Pillow: Easy Step-by-Step Instructions
If you've ever used a bean bag-type neck pillow to relieve sore muscles, you know what a treat they are. Whether frozen and applied to reduce swelling or microwaved for heat therapy, this is a handy accessory for any home.Things You'll Need
- 3-lb. bag of rice
- 1 pair over-the-knee tube socks
- Needle and thread
Instructions
Pour the dry rice into the first sock, leaving the top 4 inches empty. This will be your seam area.
Sew the open end of the sock closed, using as small of stitches as possible. Fold the seam over 1/2 inch, and sew again.
Place the first sock, seam end first, into the second sock. Stitch the end shut, folding and double-stitching as before.
Place your new bean bag neck pillow in the freezer for 2 hours for use as a cold compress, or microwave for 2 minutes for use as a heated wrap.
