Accelerate Facial Hair Growth: Tips & Factors
Males begin growing facial hair at the same time they develop other secondary sex characteristics---that is, at some point during puberty. Mustaches generally grow in earlier in adolescence, followed by hair on the cheeks that spreads across the face into a full beard. Men grow facial hair in different patterns and at different rates, depending on a combination of genetic and environmental factors.-
Dietary Ideas
-
Many suggest that increasing protein intake in your diet can increase the growth rate of your facial hair. Beards and mustaches, like fingernails, toenails, and head and body hair, are made of the protein keratin. Head hair growth has been seen to increase with increased protein consumption, and this may increase beard growth, as well.
Testosterone Techniques
-
The high levels of testosterone production in the adolescent male during puberty stimulates the first growth of the beard. As such, it is suspected that increasing the body's testosterone levels might help the beard grow longer and faster. This can be achieved by getting at least eight hours of sleep a night, performing anaerobic exercise (such as lifting weights) and avoiding smoking cigarettes.
Proof
-
There is no proven method of increasing the rate of growth of facial hair---only theories. So there is no guarantee of success with any of them. Only time is certain to make facial hair grow.
