Safe & Effective Ear Cleaning with Hydrogen Peroxide: A Guide
Ear wax is healthy in small amounts as it protects, lubricates and cleans the outer ear canal. If you are suffering from wax pressure against the ear drum it is usually because you have been probing your ear and the wax has been pushed deeper inside. You should consider cleaning your ears if you are suffering from earache, ringing in the ear, itching or loss of hearing. Read the warnings below before you proceed.Things You'll Need
- Hydrogen peroxide solution (3 percent)
- Ear syringe
Instructions
Fill the ear syringe.
Tilt your head to the left side and apply the syringe to the right ear, applying 2-3 drops. You will notice a fizzing sound as the peroxide bubbles. Once the sound stops, tilt your head over the sink and allow the peroxide to run from your ear.
Repeat with the other side.
