First, get your other children vaccinated. Spreading the chicken pox is an easy thing to do when you have other kids around the house. Getting your other children vaccinated with decrease the chances of them catching the disease as well.
Confine your child inside and do not take him out to public places. Chicken pox can be spread simply by skin to skin contact. Keep him at the house until his chicken pox have cleared.
Tell your child not to scratch his chicken pox. Open sores can not only leave scars but they can also spread chicken pox from one person to another.
After all of his symptoms have cleared wash all toys and items in the house thoroughly to avoid spreading the chicken pox to the next child that may come in contact with the items.
