DIY Sea Salt Bath: Soothe Skin & Draw Out Toxins
Saltwater bath therapy is known to leave your skin feeling soothed and refreshed. The seawater is known to draw magnesium and potassium into the bloodstream, while eliminating toxins. As a result, seawater baths are used to treat dermatology issues as well as help cancer patients deal with radiation. You can avoid the hefty cost of saltwater baths at a spa by creating your own sea salt solutions for use in your own tub.Things You'll Need
- Dead Sea salt
- Essential oils
- Glass jar
Instructions
Combine 40 drops of the essential oils of your choice with 32 ounces of sea salt. Use a glass jar to hold the combination, stir or shake to evenly distribute the oils.
Draw a warm bath, around 98 degrees Fahrenheit.
Add the sea salt combination created in Step 1. Use the entire 32 ounces. Allow the salt to dissolve and settle in the water for a few minutes.
Soak in the bath for 20 to 30 minutes.
