Safe Way to Unblock Earwax
Excess earwax can be a big problem for some people, and removing it is not always safe. If your problem is severe, you may want to let a doctor help you. However, there are a few methods that you can use to clean out your ears yourself.Things You'll Need
- Eyedropper
- Q-tips
Instructions
Vinegar and Peroxide
Mix one part white vinegar, one part water and one part peroxide.
Warm the mixture to room temperature. If you do not do this, the cold liquid can make you dizzy.
Drop a few drops from the eyedropper into an ear canal.
Turn your head and repeat with the other ear. The fluid will drain, taking excess earwax with it.
Do this twice a day for five days if you have lots of earwax.
Q-tip
Push the Q-tip lightly into your ear canal.
Make a circular motion, making sure not to push too deep. If you go too deep you can pack the earwax in or even rupture your eardrum, which will mean a trip to the hospital.
Repeat for the other ear.
