Who is Invisalign NOT for?
Invisalign is typically not suitable for people with the following:
- Advanced gum disease: Invisalign can put extra pressure on the gums, which can worsen gum disease.
- Severe overcrowding or spacing: Invisalign can effectively correct mild to moderate overcrowding or spacing, but it may not be able to correct more severe cases.
- Complex bite problems: Invisalign may not be able to correct complex bite problems, such as crossbites, overbites, and underbites.
- Unrealistic expectations: Invisalign can deliver great results, but it's important to have realistic expectations about what it can achieve. If you're not sure whether Invisalign is right for you, talk to your dentist or orthodontist.
