Strategies for a Slower, Healthier Life: Reduce Stress & Improve Well-being
We live and work in a fast paced world and sometimes we forget to slow down, this is especially important for your health in fact people who always race through the day because of their jobs or family life style have a higher chance of developing blood pressure and heart problems. But there are small ways that you can improve on slowing down your life.
Instructions
First thing to do is actually schedule the time to unwind, and set ten to fifteen minutes aside each day to just do nothing and relax, close your eyes and breathe slowly.
Second check yourself, if you work in a very fast paced environment, most likely you will be fast paced everywhere automatically, so take notice when there is no need for speed and slow down.
Third thing to do may be the hardest, at least twice a week for about half an hour (or start with ten minutes and move up) unplug all your electronic devices, ipods, blackberries, iphones, computer, cell phones, TV's and even landlines and take an electronic break.
