Jasmine Transplanting Guide: A Step-by-Step Guide for Success
Jasmine is a beautiful plant with scented flowers. This plant is a great addition to any yard and is both hearty and quick to grow. Transplant a jasmine plant only in cooler temperatures, such as early spring after the last frost. This allows the plant to get well established before the hotter weather sets in.
Instructions
Dig a hole twice the size of the plant's root ball. Choose a sunny or partial shady location. Jasmine has a wonderful scent so it's nice to grow near a deck or under a bedroom window so the scent can be enjoyed.
Carefully remove the jasmine from the pot. For easier removal, gently roll the pot on its side, pressing down on it until the plant loosens.
Place the plant into the hole. If you are growing more than one jasmine plant, leave about 8 feet between them to ensure room for growth.
Fill it in with topsoil, mounding slightly at the top.
Water well and water daily until well established. Jasmine can be grown on a trellis if desired or pruned to grow as a bush.
