      Drink one to four ounces of raw honey. Honey is a germ killer. It can cure some sore throats and eliminate laryngitis instantly. (If you'd rather pay a doctor to recommend an expensive cough syrup, before you try this remedy, write stupid on your shirt and go look in the mirror).

      Add salt to a slice of lemon and eat it.

      Get a bottle of peppermint oil from a health food store or drug store. (If neither has it on the shelf in your area, ask them to order a bottle for you). Add two or three drops to your tongue hourly or as needed.
