How to Make Herbal Pads for Tired Eyes
Whether you've spent too much time staring at a computer screen, squinting in the sun or reading fine print in a book you just couldn't put down, now your eyes are tired and feel like someone rubbed them with sandpaper. The solution is a simple herbal infusion applied to pads that will soothe tired eyes. Common herbs that are known for their soothing, anti-inflammatory properties include chamomile and calendula. Either will help to cool and ease your tired eyes.Things You'll Need
- 2 tsp. dried chamomile blooms or dried calendula blooms
- 1 cup water
- Cotton pads
- Saucepan
Instructions
Simmer the dried chamomile blooms or dried calendula blooms in a saucepan with one cup of water for about 10 minutes; do not boil.
Allow the infusion to cool completely. Strain the herbs from the liquid and discard the herbs.
Dip cotton pads into the cooled herbal infusion. Wring out any excess liquid.
Lie down and close your eyes. Place the cotton pads over your eyes for 20 minutes.
