Homemade Garlic Tincture: A Natural Remedy for Health & Wellness
A tincture is a mixture of herbs and alcohol, used as a natural remedy for various ailments. Garlic is known for its cleansing and antibacterial properties. Using a garlic tincture can help give relief from viruses, coughs and other breathing difficulties.Things You'll Need
- Garlic
- Brandy
- Glass jar with lid
Instructions
Peel a half pound of garlic cloves.
Pour 1 quart of brandy into a glass jar.
Add garlic cloves to the brandy. Seal the jar, making sure it is airtight.
Store the tincture at a temperature of around 85 degrees Fahrenheit for two weeks.
Strain the tincture to remove the garlic. Pour the tincture back into the glass jar.
Take 5 to 25 drops of the tincture, daily, mixed with water or fruit juice.
