How to Reduce Cholesterol with Fenugreek
Fenugreek is an herb that is indigenous to the Mediterranean region. Its leaves and seeds have been used as a culinary spice and for medicinal purposes. Fenugreek seeds contain protein, vitamin C, niacin, potassium, diosgenin (a compound with estrogenlike properties) and fiber. The fiber in fenugreek reportedly has cholesterol-lowering effects.
