Dandelion contains vitamins A, B, C and D and the minerals iron, potassium and zinc, according to the University of Maryland Medical Center. In Native American medicine, dandelion treats kidney and skin problems, heartburn and other conditions. The Chinese have used dandelion to treat breast inflammation, appendicitis and digestive problems. Both the roots and leaves of the dandelion are edible. The leaves normally go in salads and smoothies, while the roots are boiled raw or dried and ground for tea. - Dandelion root powder
- Measuring spoon
- Flavoring (optional)
- Spoon
Instructions
Boil 8 oz. of water.
Pour the water into a teacup.
Add 1 tsp. of dandelion root powder to the water. Combine any flavorings you'd like, such as sugar, honey or lemon.
Stir and drink.
