How Do I Make Herbal Lice Deterrent?
The word "lice" strikes fear in any parent, and simply the thought of lice can make a person squirm. Although highly contagious and quite common, lice don't spread disease and aren't dangerous. Regardless, avoiding a lice infestation is highly desirable. After ridding the house of lice, it's possible to make an herbal remedy that will deter further infestations.Things You'll Need
- Coconut oil soap
- Tea tree oil
- Towel
- Nit comb
- Bowl of alcohol
- Spray bottle
- Water
- Neem oil
- Citronella oil
- Lavender oil
- Eucalyptus oil
Instructions
Getting Rid of the Lice
Lather your hair with coconut oil soap. Add a few drops of tea tree oil, and rinse thoroughly.
Repeat, but do not rinse. Wrap your hair in a towel, and wait 30 minutes.
Comb through your hair with a nit comb. Make sure to thoroughly comb each section, starting with the scalp. Discard any nits or lice in bowl of alcohol.
Wash your hair a third time with coconut oil soap and tea tree oil. Rinse and dry.
Check again for nits. Repeat the process as necessary until all nits are gone.
