How to Make a Vaporizer Light Bulb
Smoke inhalation of any kind can be a health hazard, but there is an alternative: vaporizing. Vaporizers convert material into vapor for inhalation with less harm than inhaling smoke. Several commercial-produced vaporizers are available on the market, but they can cost up to a $1,000 or more. Knowing how to make your own vaporizer out of a light bulb and a few household materials can be a cheap and easy way to start vaporizing.Things You'll Need
- Light bulb
- Screwdriver
- Plastic bottle cap
- 6 inch rubber tube
- Knife
- Water
- Dish soap
- Drying towel
Instructions
Pry the metal tip away from the ceramic base of the light bulb with a knife. Work your way around the edge slowly and evenly to remove the tip.
Twist the tip of the knife in the opening of the ceramic base of the light bulb. This will cause it to crack.
Remove the cracked ceramic portion of the light bulb.
Insert a screwdriver into the hole in the base of the light bulb to break the filament.
Shake the pieces of broken filament out of the light bulb.
Wash the light bulb, 6 inch rubber tube and plastic bottle cap in warm water with dish soap. Dry thoroughly with a towel.
Carve a hole the diameter of the 6 inch rubber tube in the center of the plastic bottle cap.
Insert the 6 inch rubber tube into the hole in the plastic bottle cap. Make sure the 6 inch rubber tube fits snugly in the hole.
Screw the plastic bottle cap with the rubber tube sticking out of it onto the metal base of the light bulb.
