Using a Bubbler for Medical Marijuana: A Patient's Guide
Medical marijuana is legal in 16 states and also the District of Columbia. For many people suffering from illnesses such as cancer and AIDS, controlled marijuana use has been shown to improve appetite and stamina, among other benefits. However, many patients find it difficult to smoke marijuana in joint form. A bubbler is a device that creates a marijuana-laced steam to be breathed in by the user. This may be a more desirable method of ingestion for weaker patients. Remember, marijuana use is still illegal in 34 states, and medical use requires a cannabis card even where it is legalized.Things You'll Need
- Sink
- Towel
Instructions
Hold the bubble at a 45-degree angle with the small hole in the side facing up. Turn on the water so it is lukewarm. Do not use extremely hot or extremely cold water, as it may cause the bubbler to shatter.
Move the hole beneath the stream of water. Let the bubbler fill up about halfway. Shut off the water and dry the outside of the bubbler with a towel.
Fill the bubbler through the bowl if you find the side hole too slow. Once the bubbler is half-full of water, dry the distance between the water line and the top edge of the bowl with a towel. No water should remain in the interior of this area before heating the bubbler.
