DIY Alcohol-Free Cannabis Tincture: A Step-by-Step Guide
Ingredients:
- 1 cup dried cannabis flowers or leaves
- 2 cups vegetable glycerin
- Cheesecloth or a fine mesh sieve
- Glass jar with a lid
Instructions:
1.) Decarboxylate the cannabis by spreading it on a baking sheet and baking it in the oven at 240 degrees Fahrenheit for 30-40 minutes.
2.) Add the decarboxylated cannabis to a glass jar and pour the vegetable glycerin over it.
3.) Stir the mixture well and seal the jar.
4.) Let the mixture steep for at least 24 hours, and up to 2 weeks, in a cool, dark place.
5.) Strain the tincture through cheesecloth or a fine mesh sieve into another glass jar.
6.) Discard the solids and store the tincture in a cool, dark place.
To use:
- Add a few drops of the tincture to your favorite beverage or food.
- You can also apply the tincture directly to your skin.
Note:
- This recipe produces a very potent tincture. Start with a low dose and increase as needed.
- This tincture is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
