Formula Feeding During Ear Infections in Infants: What You Need to Know
It is generally safe to feed infants formula when they have ear infections. In fact, formula may be a better option than breastfeeding for infants with ear infections, as the pressure of breastfeeding can sometimes cause discomfort in the ear.
If your infant has an ear infection, be sure to follow the instructions of your doctor regarding feeding. In some cases, your doctor may recommend avoiding certain foods or drinks that could irritate the ear infection.
