What gives blood its colour?
The red color of blood is due to the presence of a protein called haemoglobin. Haemoglobin is found in red blood cells, and it carries oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body. When haemoglobin is bound to oxygen, it is bright red. When it is not bound to oxygen, it is dark red.Color Therapies - Related Articles
