Nerve agents
Nerve agents work by blocking the action of an enzyme that is essential for the transmission of nerve impulses. There are several different types of nerve agents, but some of the most common include sarin, VX, and tabun. Nerve agents can be absorbed through the skin, eyes, or respiratory tract.
Common symptoms of nerve agent poisoning include:
- Vomiting
- Drooling
- Coughing
- Difficulty breathing
- Seizures
- Paralysis
- Death
Nerve agents are extremely toxic, and exposure can be fatal. If you think you may have been exposed to a nerve agent, it is extremely important to seek medical attention immediately.
