Fimbriae: Understanding the Egg-Catching Structures of the Fallopian Tube
The finger-like structures of the fallopian tube that catch the ovum are called fimbriae. These structures are located at the distal end of the fallopian tube and help to capture the ovulated egg as it is released from the ovary.
