Epidrin Cap Excellium: Uses, Benefits & Side Effects
Epidrin Cap Excellium contains a combination of cetirizine hydrochloride and pseudoephedrine. Cetirizine is an antihistamine and pseudoephedrine is a decongestant.
It is used to treat symptoms of hay fever or other allergies including:
- Sneezing
- Itchy, watery eyes
- Itchy nose or throat
- Runny nose
It may also be used to treat symptoms of the common cold including:
- Stuffy nose
- Sinus pressure
- Coughing
- Itchy throat
Epidrin Cap Excellium works by blocking histamine, a substance that is released during an allergic reaction, and by narrowing the blood vessels in the nose, reducing stuffiness and congestion. The medicine has a rapid onset of action and should work within one hour on many users, usually with the effects fading after around 24 hours,
