How to Make Your Own Face Scrub
Making your own facial scrub is as easy as raiding your kitchen cabinet! Forget spending money on expensive chemical-laced products, and look no further than your grocery list. Lemons aid cell turnover, have antibacterial qualities and fade scarring and discoloration. Honey has moisture-retaining and antibacterial properties. Oatmeal soothes the skin, and aspirin is a natural source of zit-zapping salicylic acid. Besides being cheap, natural, easy and effective, these scrubs take only a few minutes to make.Things You'll Need
- 3 to 5 tablets uncoated aspirin
- 2 tbsp. honey
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp. olive oil
- 2 tbsp. honey
- 2 tsp. ground oatmeal
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Instructions
For Oily or Acne-Prone Skin
Crush 3 to 5 tablets of uncoated aspirin.
Slowly mix the powder with a little water to form a paste.
Add 2 tbsp. of honey and 1 tbsp. of lemon juice, mixing well.
Rub the paste onto your face and leave it on until dry.
Rinse well.
For Dry Skin
Mix 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 2 tsp. of olive oil and 2 tbsp. of honey.
Gently rub onto your face.
Rinse well.
For Sensitive Skin
Mix 2 tsp. of ground oatmeal with 1 tsp. of baking soda.
Add water to form a paste.
Rub your face gently with the paste.
Rinse well.
