A bruise is a common, minor injury where small blood vessels break just below the skin and blood collects in the surrounding soft tissues. Most bruises resolve themselves within a few weeks, but topical use of herbal Arnica may help relieve pain, discomfort and to fade dark bruises faster.Things You'll Need
- Soap and water
- Washcloth
- Arnica cream or ointment
- Gauze (optional)
Instructions
Wash your hands and the bruised area gently with soap and water. Dry hands.
Pat the bruised area dry with the washcloth. Do not rub.
Apply a thin layer of the Arnica cream or ointment over the bruised area.
Cover the area, if desired, with clean gauze.
Rewash the area and reapply the Arnica cream/ointment 3 to 4 times per day, or as directed by the manufacturer.
